A big thank you to everyone who entered our fifth competition. A great response – each year it’s so encouraging so see that there are so many women poets over 60 producing such excellent work. The adjudicators had a job on their hands making their selections. Many thanks to them both.
All proceeds will go towards the production costs of Grey Hen’s new anthology, Running Before the Wind: poems about the sea. This will be out shortly – watch out for publication details on the ‘Books’ page.
NB This year the decision was taken that the shortlist would be limited to one poem per poet, as there were so many contenders. Where more than one was identified from the same poet, the adjudicators selected their favourite of the two.
Congratulations to the winners and runners-up, and look out for the 2014 competition!
